Dan & Rachel | Oxford, PA Wedding | Walnut Springs Farm Reception

To be honest, this was a tough blog post to put together... In fact, it's not finished yet! (Edit: it's done!) I've lost track of the time it took to sort through the 5,000+ images from their big day and I'm still trying to pick my favorites, but with a bride as naturally beautiful as Rachel, a groom so excited to marry her, and two families as fun as the Laulettas and the Sarvers, well, you can imagine my struggle. It is real. To add to the surplus of amazing pics, it doesn't help that they are all very meaningful to me. I grew up next to the Sarver's and I remember like it was yesterday playing "car" with Rachel (and her big brother, Jamie) during the time we spent together after school. My ride was a pretty sweet, over-sized, white leather chair that swiveled. We had so much fun together and the fun hasn't stopped! Dan fits right in with this fun-loving group and this wedding was a testament to how much Rachel and Dan are made for each other. While it poured and poured and poured- all day, non-stop, pouring rain- the only things that concerned these two were exchanging vows and starting their lives as Mr. and Mrs. So much time and effort was given by so many to make the day perfect. From the upkeep of Walnut Springs Farm, the custom-made bar, the heart-branded wood chargers that were at the base of each centerpiece, the cake topper, the Honcho, the Mustang procession... the personal touches have no end. Lots of tears were shed, none of which were due to the weather. The four inches of rain could not take away from the incredible amount of love that surrounded Dan and Rachel. The tearful moments started early as Rachel's mom held the veil while the dress was zipped, continued through the moment Dan's knees dropped when seeing his bride for the first time, didn't stop through the I do's, and were still flowing after toasts were cheered. While this was truly an unforgettable day, I hope these images help to bring back all the love-filled, rain-soaked memories for years to come!

What's going on here, you ask? It's "The Shoe Game," a super fun way for wedding guests to learn more about the newlyweds! I hope to see this played at all the weddings I attend! So. Much. FUN!
