Ron + Emery | Skytop Lodge Summer Wedding

It felt like this event was in the works for ages… maybe because it was! Originally set to wed in 2020, Ron and Emery postponed their dream Skytop Lodge wedding a year to be sure all their loved ones could be present. It was worth the wait because it was truly one of the most beautiful and touching weddings I have ever been a part of, and I’m sure all of their guests felt the same. Aside from the obvious (the flowers, the cake, the food, the setting- Skytop Lodge knows how to perfect the details!), the day was overflowing with sentiment and special moments. It’s not uncommon for me to get a little choked up at weddings; a tear or two will fill my eyes if I’m photographing an emotional groom or sometimes during toasts when the words are just so dang sincere and straight from the heart. But a full on ugly cry happened when in place of the traditional father/daughter dance, Emery danced with four “father figures,” each playing a special role in her life since the passing of her Dad when she was 16. They danced to ‘My Wish’ by Rascal Flatts, the last song to which she and her Dad shared a danced. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Kevin and Martina with Fonash Studios did a beautiful job sharing Ron and Emery’s love story and highlighting the magic that was their wedding day. Check it out if you’re in the mood for a little feel-good cry! Congrats again, Ron and Emery! You and your wedding day will forever be near and dear to my heart!
